אֵב(אוֹב) אֵיב m. (b. h.; אבב) swelling, spreading, whence 1) the young shoots of a tree, opp. to the branches growing directly from the trunk. B. Kam.81a אִיבּוֹ של אילן ed. (Ar. a.
